Scholarships and Fellowships from the Rho Chi Society

Anthony Perrone, MD, practices plastic surgery at MaineGeneral Medical Center, where he serves as chief of plastic surgery. Dr. Perrone focused on pharmacy while working toward his MD. Though he has turned his attention to surgery, Anthony Perrone, MD, remains a member of the Rho Chi Society, pharmacy's academic honor society.

The Rho Chi Society is open only to dedicated students and professionals in the field of pharmacy. The organization recognizes exceptional commitment to academic and professional pursuits within the specialty and uses its resources to stimulate advancements in the pharmaceutical profession.

To facilitate scholastic achievement and support research, the Rho Chi Society makes scholarships and fellowships available to qualifying members. Each year, one graduate student is selected for the Rho Chi AFPE (American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education) First-Year Graduate Fellowship, which carries a $7,500 cash award.

The similar Clinical Research Project is awarded to second-year clinical research fellows, providing recipients with $7,500 in research funding. To learn more about scholarship opportunities from the Rho Chi Society, visit: rhochi.org/scholarships.
