Camp Sunshine Welcomes Third-Party Events to Benefit Child Patients
Plastic surgeon Anthony Perrone, MD, is chief plastic surgeon for the Department of Surgery at the Maine General Medical Center, with board certifications from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. Anthony Perrone, MD, also supports Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Camp Sunshine allows members of the public like Dr. Anthony Perrone to host their own special events.
Hosted by volunteers, families, and other external individuals, third-party special events benefit Camp Sunshine and its operations through fundraising and awareness efforts. Those interested in planning a special event may receive some assistance from the camp’s development team, including access to a thorough event hosting guide. The guide offers a step-by-step outline to event hosting and covers best practices and acceptable fundraising methods. Possible special events range from golf tournaments and benefit concerts to car washes and bake sales, among several others.
Camp Sunshine third-party events present an opportunity for individuals to give back to their community and enable students to fulfill community service requirements. To learn more about hosting an event for the camp’s benefit, visit campsunshine.org/news-events/host-an-event.
